Account Manager : Forensics

We are currently seeking a Forensic Account Manager to join our commercial team.

To be successful in this role you will be required to deliver the highest quality of account management and customer service to new and existing forensic customers whilst identifying opportunities to develop the business further by maximising sales opportunities.

You will develop excellent working relationships with Cellmark’s customers based on trust, respect and in line with Cellmark’s business ethos. This will involve regular telephone and face to face contact with key customers to understand their business needs, forecasts and requirements. You will develop strategies that address any issues that arise and negotiate, implement and maintain operational protocols for each customer account.

On a day to day basis you will liaise with scientific and operational staff throughout Cellmark’s forensic business to build an understanding of the various processes and service delivery issues to be presented in the best way at customer meetings.

You will provide customers with regular performance updates and work with other members of the commercial team to develop regular and ad hoc performance reports as well as work with the Commercial Director with the preparation of tenders and business proposals.

Our ideal candidate will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a scientific discipline, preferable with knowledge of DNA and forensics. With experience of account management, you will be familiar with dealing with a range of customers; from those that require a high level of technical support to those who require commercial support and management. A full UK driving licence is essential as UK travel is required in this role.

An assertive person, you will have a friendly and professional demeanor, with high ethical standards. Able to work as part of a team as well as managing your own workload, you will be organised and efficient with a determination to succeed.
